"....have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

There and back again...

Like a new song now
That's flowing down
A river of lyrics
Music and limericks

What wouldn't I give
To sing out loud
Every note strung strong
As my heart beats along

Why me?

If death came knocking on my door
I’d gladly open it and let it in…
It couldn't scare me, not anymore

If pain came along and asked me if I wanted more
I’d have to humbly decline…
For my basket was already full and overflowing

Death of a heartbeat

T’was mid summer’s noon
I lay thoughtless
Mind wandering into the depths
Of an empty lagoon
There I lay thinking
How deep have I sank?
Why does it hurt so deep even now?
Tears tear you to pieces somehow
Or is this the price of being so frank?

Just wondering...

If you weren’t here today
Breaking bread; making toast
Where else would you be?
Raking head; crossing coasts

If you weren’t this old
Crossing legs; dreadful boasts
How young were you?
Drinking pegs; thinking ghosts

If you hadn’t failed
Making faces; shedding tears
How would you recognize success?
Taking paces; gulping beers

If this path you hadn’t taken
Pleasing people; forcing smiles
Would you have followed your heart’s desire?
Chasing tweeple; making piles

If you had never broken up
Being nice; breaking hearts
Would you know true love?
Much more wise; playing the right parts

If you weren’t slogging night and day
Pulling socks; tying ties
Would you be bungee jumping?
Over rocks; tasting pies

If you were not earning just this much
Listening Shakira; dreaming big
Would you be a millionaire?
Drowning tequilas; taking digs

If you weren’t moonstruck
Singing songs; moaning wrongs
Would you be starstruck?
Earning dollars; lifting collars

If you had lived a perfect life
Racing cars; raking galleons
Will you have ever learnt?
Braving scars, life’s true medallions?

Lost..

I know sometimes it’s gonna rain
Like it’s gonna wash away the pain
I din’t hear you leave
Makes me wonder why I am still here
Just when I thought I could reach out and hold onto your sleeve
U vanished into thin air clear…
And right now….it’s raining harder than ever…
But I can’t feel a thing
Neither the drop nor the tear
It’s all so quiet around here
Like even silence has lost it’s meaning
And yet here I am
Finding a way out
Walking through an invisible pathway
Only if you could tell me which way to go…….?!?

Passing thought...

A drop of tear
And I have no fear
A touch of love
Neither there nor here!
A sense of belonging
Not too far or near
A feeling of loneliness
But not a soul to hear!
A brush of friendship
How beautiful yet dear
An echo of my heart beat
So simple yet clear!
