Hidden wisdom, crouching shadow!

There is a part of you that exists
Somewhere within
Reaching into your future
Guiding you like an internal lighthouse

You falter, you waver
You surmise over what has been and what is going to be
You move on, you fall back
You compromise, you please

And yet again, no matter how much you try to shun it away
It follows you like an undetachable radar
Guiding you, Altering your path, Leading you right..

You waver once more, you have trust issues
You are unsure of what to follow
So you go back to the well woven path again
Things feel familiar, things feel right
So you stick on awhile out of fright


Sooner or later you are thrown back to the same path
The light still shines wanting to guide you
You look at it like you always did
Wishing it would just go away
So you can go back to being normal
Doing what you are used to doing..

But a moment of doubt, curiosity maybe?.. holds you back
You wonder why that light never fades away
No matter how many times you chose to ignore it over the years
The logical part of you says there must be a reason
That it's been as adamant as you were, never dying out
Burning like a little flame unwilling to cease

Is it within me or is it me?
You decide on a whim to take this unbeaten path
You don't know where it leads to,
But you sure know exactly where it starts, within you..

As you start walking through your own unfamiliarity
You begin to feel a sense of calming familiarity
Ethereal like, like you always knew it existed
After awhile it only feels all too familiar
For..for the first time you had begun walking towards who you really were

Who you really are from within, where you truly belong
That had been calling out to you all along
You find yourself at the end of your journey
Who you were and who you are
Now merged into who you were always meant to be!

The fire within still burns bright
Your life..your path is yours to be painted on the canvas of your future
And if you ever falter..waver..
Just remember this - The light within never fades away!!

Close your eyes and look for it
Your silence will guide you back to where you left off..
