"....have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet

If only I had the answers...

Why is it that some scars simply refuse to heal?
Why is it that some memories return to haunt you over and over again?
Why is it that when you could once feel the pain, you can't feel it any longer?
Why is it that there is always someone around the corner to break your trust?
Why is it that death constantly feels like an easy way out?
Why is it that 'depression' fails to leave it's hinges?
Why is it that you give permission to people to hurt you one more time when they just did?
Why is it that when life just starts looking up you unconsciously shy away from it?
Why is it that you feel lonelier that the loneliest you have felt?

What is it that people see in you that they think they can take you for granted?
What is it that you once saw in yourself but seem to have lost forever?
What is it that blinds you from seeing things the way they actually are?
What is it that holds you back from moving forward?
What is it that tricks you to believe that some bonds never die?
What is it that gets you so mad it makes you lose your temper in a split second?
What is it that makes you feel vulnerable when you think you aren't?
What is it that makes you cringe every time you open that page?
What is it that can heal your wounds from the inside out and not from the outside in?

When was the last you looked into someone's eyes and smiled for real?
When was the last time you thought 'But also' and not 'If only'?
When was the last time you walked with your friends with your head held high?
When was the last time someone actually existed who could understand you?
When was the last time you took a step forward without turning back?
When was the last time you let the past just be?
When was the last time you thought you'll always find a way out?
When was the last time you did something you love?
When was the last time you believed that there will always be light after dark?
When was the last time you were no longer sure who you were?
