Never an absolution
but a
sense of freedom
that comes
with the dawning of dawn,
the swishing
and unnerved splashing of a river...
....down a
silent mountain pass,
the
first cries of the wild
that
render a forest wide awake...
...distant
yet almost close enough!
It could
just be a sigh of a breeze
that’s
perfectly cool enough
to
settle on your skin...
...just
as the warm splatter
of the
first rays reflect off it…
Like the
promise of a sunrise
no matter
what weather
weathered
your day last....
...A simple
belief
in the
journey ahead
although
exactly to where it leads
is a
mystery in itself..
The shadows
call aloud
For you
to stop and ponder
What am
I leaving behind?
What do
I carry with me now?
A lark
you think it is..
Maybe…who
knows?
The day
passes as it always does
Waiting
for none
Nor stopping
for time…
...For neither
is time kind enough
To stop
for it.
And so
you think
this
too shall pass...
...For it
has to
That’s
the way it works!
Darkness
sets in...
Just in
time too
As the
remaining light
lick
the last rays out of the sky
eerie
and calm at the same time
but
this time
a
queer sense of peace floats in...
...queer I
call it
for it’s
nothing like you’ve ever felt before
yet
peaceful
Accompanied
by a stillness
that
feels peaceful
if you
know what I mean…
it’s
almost the end…
...end of
another journey
in journey’s
path
which
you know will begin yet again
for
you understand it’s
“Never
an absolution
but a
sense of freedom”
that
comes and goes
but
stays as a part of whole!
A silent promise ...
...always kept.
